TEAMWORK is the key for Watford's Lloyd Doyley as the defender reflects on the win at Middlesbrough on Saturday and looks forward to the clash at Portman Road tomorrow (Tuesday).
"We'd conceded ten goals in three games before Middlesbrough which is not acceptable, so we went back to basics and we kept a clean sheet.
"We were all working for each other out on the pitch, as a whole team not just as a back four and we did really well.
"We put ourselves on the line to keep a clean sheet, won the game and got three points."
The Hornets have fielded a very young team on many occasions this season, but age is no object for the one-team man Doyley.
"As soon as we go out on the field, we are all equal.
"It doesn't matter if you are 26, 35 or 17. Our goalkeeper on the bench on Saturday was 16 so if he was on the field he would be equal like any other.
"But at the moment we are not concentrating on age, because as you can see our squad is quite young now so everyone has to take responsibility."
A win over former Premiership side Middlesbrough proved to be the confidence builder that the team needed after two defeats at home and the 26-year-old was pleased with the Golden Boys' efforts in the north east.
"We had a lot of good passing and we just played through them. We did that all through the first half and managed to maintain the lead. We got the ball down and played and we carved them open.

"Our game plan was to invite pressure a little bit and counter attack and we did that quite a few times, especially in the second-half.
"I think we could actually have got a few more goals with our counter-attacking, if our finishing was a little bit better."
With a victory behind them, Malky Mackay's men are now firmly focused on the task ahead - another three points on the road from Ipswich on Tuesday night.
The Tractor Boys are still searching for their first home win of the season but this only makes Doyley and his team mates more determined to take some points from Suffolk tomorrow.
"Like Middlesbrough, I'm sure they are under pressure at home after their recent results.
"They have spent quite a lot of money, have a new manager and quite a few new players but they haven't won a game yet.
"They used to be in the Premiership a few years back but that doesn't faze us, as we showed at the Riverside at the weekend.
"We want to go to Ipswich, do exactly the same as we did against Boro and get a win."
