STAND-IN captain Adrian Mariappa and his team mates are eager to turn around the last couple of results - starting with Watford's clash with Middlesbrough on Saturday.
The Hornets travel to face Gareth Southgate's men looking to back bounce after two defeats at Vicarage Road.
Speaking ahead of the trip to the Riverside, the skipper said: "We've had a couple of poor results but we're eager to put those right.
"Saturday is a big game for us, we'll be underdogs which I think will work in our favour and we're confident we can go up there and get a result."
A virus disrupted the Golden Boys' plans before the international break but the setbacks haven't dented confidence within the camp.
"I still think we're all on track" said the 23-year-old.
"It does get to people when we lose games, but I don't think it's knocked our confidence. We all still looking forward to each game and we're confident that we can really do something.

"The Championship has always been tight, but it's been even more so this year, we're confident that we can get a few results and make our way up that table.
"No one will expect us to do it, but we're confident that we can."
Mariappa and his fellow defender are likely to again come up against some big names - with Leroy Lita and Jeremie Aliadiere regulars for Boro.
Both come with an impressive CV and experience at the highest level, but Watford's Harrow-born defender is used to coming up against some big names as the standard improves year-on-year in England's second tier of football.
"Most of the strikers you tend to play against now, have often played in the Premiership over the last few years" noted the man who wears Watford's number two shirt.

"The quality has definitely improved in this area and overall I would say, this year is no exception."
Middlesbrough's home record has been mixed so far and they come into the clash on the back of two home reversals.
"We go into every game to get three points, we don't sit back for a draw - and that's what we'll be doing over the next few games.
"The crowd is definitely big for any home team so if we impose ourselves on the opposition and silence their crowd, then that is big for us and can have an impact on them."
Mariappa has lead the team in recent times in the continued absence of Jay DeMerit and he's had to guide some of the younger members of the side too.
He commented: "The younger lads all need help, I haven't been playing that long myself but we're all learning as we go along and helping each other through.
"The younger lads that we have in the team have big personalities and they're not afraid to speak their mind.
"That's what you need, which is why we've got such a good team spirit and why we haven't started too badly overall."
