TRIBUNAL DECISION REACHED
THE Football League tribunal regarding Danny Graham's transfer from Carlisle United to Watford has been heard today (Thursday).
The hearing took place in west London and the Professional Football Compensation Committee has agreed the Hornets must pay The Cumbrians £200,000 for the services of the 23-year-old striker.
Watford FC has also been instructed to pay an additional £30,000 per 15 appearances, up to a maximum of 75 appearances.
Additionally, if the Golden Boys gain promotion within the next three years, the club will have to pay Carlisle a further £200,000.
Graham joined the Golden Boys at the start of July after his contract with the League One outfit expired.
Watford Chief Executive Officer Julian Winter said: "We feel we have acquired an excellent player in Danny Graham and the fee represents good value for our money. Everyone at the club is looking forward to seeing Danny play this season."
The forward joined Carlisle permanently in the summer of 2007, after a loan period at the club.
Graham will wear the number 10 shirt for Watford in this forthcoming campaign and he is expected to be involved on the opening day of the season against Doncaster Rovers.
