IN SAFE HANDS
IN the first of a two-part in interview, Goalkeeper Coach Alec Chamberlain catches up with www.watfordfc.com as the team get stuck into their pre-season games and the dust starts to settle after the excitement of the new manager's arrival.
Chamberlain, who played over 250 games for Watford, is pleased to still be part of the coaching setup and said that it is a great time to be with the Golden Boys.
He added: "It's a very exciting time to be involved in with a new management team and im very grateful I've been kept part of that to carry on my association with the Football Club.
"Malky and Dychey stepped up to the plate in November and did a very good job so we have no reason to believe that that success will not continue into this season.
"We're all really excited to start - we've got a tight group here and we're trying to get the players into Malky and Sean's beliefs and we will go forwards with that through training."

Chamberlain on Mackay: "It's a very exciting time for Watford" |
The former Golden Boy has a lot of time for the newer faces around the London Colney training ground as well.
"It's great to have a fresh pair of eyes in David [Kerslake] come in from the outside and get a view on everything here.
"David has had a good playing career and successful spells in coaching at Northampton and Nottingham Forest so it will be interesting to see his take and overview on things at Watford.
"I'm sure Malky will lead us the way he wants to lead it but it's nice to have other people's input as well, so it's great to have David Kerslake and Sean Dyche on board as well."
For Chamberlain, despite the managerial changes at the club over the summer, he feels the team need to pick up where they left off last season.
"There was a feel good factor at the back end of last season, if you take in consideration our results and where we finished and hopefully that will galvanise everybody to get behind the new management team and the side.
"The team are the ones who need the support on the pitch and fans' backing so we're going to really make sure the players are in the right frame of mind and physical condition to get out there and perform.
"We're really hopeful that we are going to have a successful season."
