OUR insight into Sean Dyche's world continues as the Assistant Manager reveals his thoughts on the new backroom team at Watford FC.
Former Nottingham Forest coach David Kerslake made up the final piece of the new managerial puzzle when he joined the Hornets this pre-season.
"I was a player under David Kerslake at Northampton and always kept in touch" said the former defender.
"I liked him and liked his ideas, I knew him from before so when Malky was talking about bringing someone else in, I said I knew someone who might fit.
"Inevitably it was Malky's decision, so the rest was left down to him to decide how he felt David would fit in, and he felt he was the right man who shared the same beliefs and values as us."
Although their core values may be shared, Dyche points out the importance of a healthy mix of personalities on the field.
"David is someone different and he brings that variety to the team.

Kerslake and Dyche: "We've always kept in touch" |
"You want everyone to be aligned, but if everyone is so aligned they can't see outside of the box then it's hard to get things done. And Malky has thought about it carefully.
"Contrary to some belief out there, me and Malky are actually quite different, more than you think" Dyche revealed.
"So between the management team including obviously Alec Chamberlain, Martyn Pert and Mark Warburton with the youth team - we'll have a good mix of opinions and I think if you don't have that balanced mix of opinions, you won't get the right answer.
"We do have a balanced team and I think that's something that was thought about when Malky wanted me on board.
"Getting staff who will give everything to what they do and everything to the players was key to Malky's thoughts during the process.
"The boys have to be in the right frame of mind and of course, there's the tactical, technical and physical side too but the mental side is huge.
"If they believe what you believe and they take ownership of that then we feel we have a chance to build something and that is certainly the way we're looking at working."

Dyche: "We have a good mix in the managerial team" |
The straight-talking coach told www.watfordfc.com that he is a firm believer in the old-school way of approaching the game.
"I believed in some of the old fashioned traits as a player and I think if you can mix them with modern coaching, modern thought processes and modern science, then there's a good balance to be had.
"I also believe in the people - I think if you can affect the people then you can affect their performance.
"I think it's a key element to the game; to guide them and let them take ownership of their own career and how that fits into the team.
"It's a principle that I was trying to put into practice with the youth players and there's no reason why that can't continue into the first team, in the way that I would looking at working with them this season."
