BOTH new and old faces were gathered at the Hertfordshire training ground this week to start the new pre-season campaign in earnest.

The players were given a rigorous first day back as the British heatwave continued to reach sweltering temperatures on Thursday.

The current crop of players worked hard throughout the session as they looked to impress the new management team, even under the extreme weather conditions.
