In part one we start with his career at Scottish giants Celtic and then his move to the Championship with Norwich City and West Ham United.

Mackay spent five years with The Bhoys after leaving his boyhood club Queen's Park.

The Scotsman enjoyed a successful period at Carrow Road before switching to Championship rivals West Ham United with Alan Pardew.

Mackay gained a second promotion with the east end club - before joining Watford in August 2005.

The former centre half also gained five caps for Scotland. He made his debut at 32 and Mackay was Scotland's oldest debutant in 37 years.
