HORNETS Captain Jay Demerit will be hoping he gets a chance to feature in today's (Saturday) USA World Cup qualifier against Honduras.

After having to watch the disappointing 3-1 defeat to Costa Rica from the substitutes bench on Wednesday, the American defender will be looking to make an impression at Solider Gate, Chicago in front of the nations' home fans.

The USA slipped from top position in their group table to second after the loss and will be hoping to get all three points from Honduras today.

Another Hornet in international action over the next few days is 'keeper Scott Loach. After getting the call-up last week, the 21-year-old has been training with the team in Spain and will be in the 23-man squad that travel to Stadium MK for their game against Azerbaijan on Monday (8th June).
