1984 NIGHT ONLINE

Posted on: Tue 19 May 2009

TONIGHT (Tuesday) legends from the 1984 FA Cup final day and supporters will be getting together to celebrate and commemorate that special match, 25 years ago today.

The event, which is sold out, will be attended by the manager of that infamous day and now Honorary Life President and Board member- Graham Taylor, as well as captain Les Taylor and many of the squad from the final.

"What you want to do as a footballer is leave your footmarks in the sand when you've gone and the footmarks that that group of players left is a huge credit to them" said Taylor when asked about his memories of the day.

"I always used to say to them [the players] that when the time comes and we pack the game in...we want to be able to meet up, have a great time in each other's company, laugh about the old days and feel as though we left our mark there."

If you were one of the unlucky ones not to get a ticket for the event, we will be giving you exclusive photos and snippets from the night right here and all for free, so that you can celebrate and remember with us.

We will be bringing you exclusive interviews with the Hornets legends throughout the coming weeks so make sure you don't miss out on the celebrations and stay up-to-date with www.watfordfc.com.
