DUO SET TO MISS OUT
WATFORD boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed that the Hornets will be without the services of captain Jay DeMerit and Tommy Smith this weekend, as neither had yet fully recovered from their respective injuries.
DeMerit limped off against Crystal Palace at Vicarage road at the end of February and has been receiving treatment from the Hornets' medical team ever since.
Meanwhile Smith was the victim of an ugly tackle from Charlton's Kelly Youga in south London last weekend.
Rodgers is keen for both to return of course, but wants the pair just right with another midweek game around the corner for the Golden Boys.
He said: "The weekend will be too early for them but they're both coming along really well.
"After a horrendous tackle on Tommy I'm just grateful that there's no long-term structural damage to his knee, it's just badly bruised. I think this weekend might be too soon for him and Jay likewise.

"You're always tentative with a calf injury as it's something you can pull very easily if you're working your way back.
"Again, it could just be a wee bit too early for him, we hope both will be available after the weekend."
Finally, Polish striker Grzegorz Rasiak is a doubt for Saturday's game with Sheffield Wednesday.
He was stretchered from the field during the final stages of Tuesday's win over Nottingham Forest and is still receiving treatment to his groin.
