STRAIGHT FROM GREG'S LOCKER
AS the game seemed to be slipping away from the Hornets as Charlton fought for their lives, up stepped Polish striker Grzegorz Rasiak to score a wonder strike, and the man who provided the pass said he's seen it all before on the training pitch.
Watford had lost talisman and captain for the day Tommy Smith and Rasiak came on to join the in-form Tamas Priskin.
With the Addicks winning 2-1 after coming from behind, Watford had to dig deep into their reserves of energy and Rasiak's great strike to equalise set them on their way.
Jobi McAnuff provided the ball and he was full of praise for the loanee after the game.
He said: "Grzegorz has got that in his locker, he does it every other day in training and he's great with his back to goal and his hold up play is excellent.
"He's been a big asset to us since he's been here, I know he hasn't played as much as he would have liked but when he has he's shown what's he's about.
"His overall play is unbelievable, losing Tommy was a big blow - but I felt that the win was another plus for us, as we've shown that we can step up and other people can come in."
The game at The Valley was a meeting of two relegation threatened teams and it was hugely important for the 'Orns to bounce back after tasting defeat in midweek.
McAnuff added: "When you're playing the teams in and around you, you want a positive result.
"That's why we were so disappointed with the Plymouth game because it gave them a step up against us, but today was important and to come from behind showed a lot of character.
"We made a point of trying to start well with a high tempo and get them on the back foot, we've all been in situations where you've been in a bad run and to lose that first goal can be really tough mentally.
"But to their credit they came back well, we gave away poor goals but we showed a lot of character in the second half.
"Overall we started the first half half well and it was down to our own mistakes so we knew if we could eradicate those mistakes we'd be in with a fighting chance. It was very positive at half-time and all the boys were talking about going on and getting a win."

Jobi joins in with Tamas Priskin's celebration |
With the game hanging by a thread at 2-2, up stepped Priskin to seal Watford's third away win of the season.
McAnuff was again full of praise for the strikers and, according to the former Eagle, the pair showed their value to the club.
He commented: "Tamas is showing a bit of belief and he's having a good run in the team.
"He's always had the quality and it is about just putting it into practice now. If you look at some of his goals they're right up there with what you see in the Premiership, the gaffer made a point of saying he's a Premiership finisher and looking at some of his goals you can't argue with that."
