WATFORD midfielder Lionel Ainsworth has this morning (Monday) joined Huddersfield Town for an undisclosed fee.

The former Derby wide player has joined Lee Clark's side on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

The paperwork on the deal was completed this morning after he passed a medical with the Yorkshire outfit.

Ainsworth was recalled from his loan spell with Hereford United last week by the Golden Boys and has now joined the League One promotion chasers.

In seven appearances for The Bulls this season he netted three goals, including two against Oldham last weekend.
