CEDRIC DEPARTS ON LOAN

CENTRAL defender Cedric Avinel has joined French club FC Gueugnon on loan for the remainder of the season.

The club then have an option to purchase the 22-year-old and make the deal permanent.

He spent last week on trial with the French third-tier club.

Avinel arrived at Vicarage Road in the January 2007 transfer window and had made three first-team appearances for the Hornets.
