IN tonight's Carling Cup programme with Tottenham Hotspur we have plenty of action packed features.

First up is an in-depth feature with the new boss, Brendan Rodgers. Watford's new manager tells his story, about his up-bringing in Northern Ireland and his short stint as a player and why coaching appealed to him.

There's also his usual programmes notes and columns from Jon Marks of BBC Three Counties, Club Chaplain Clive Ross, Academy boss Mark Warburton and club captain Jay DeMerit.

Tonight we also have a separate Academy special where we look at their European adventures over the past few months and how that is selling the club's reputation in the footballing world.

Talking of history, there's our usual 'If the cap fits' special - appropriately tonight is Allan Nielsen, a player familiar to both sets of supporters.

On top of that our 'managing change' historical feature looks at Len Goulden and Johnny Paton's time in charge of the Golden Boys.
