MACKAY HOPES HUME HAS SPEEDY RETURN
WATFORD boss Malky Mackay has sent his and his team's best wishes to injured Barnsley forward Iain Hume, after he suffered appalling injuries in the side's game with Sheffield United last weekend.
Hume, 25, was subject of a challenge from United's Chris Morgan, which left him with a fractured skull and internal bleeding.
After undergoing emergency surgery Hume is now recovering but will play no part in the Tykes' forthcoming games, including tomorrow's visit from Mackay and Watford.
Speaking of the news this week, Mackay said: "It's not been very good up there this week I am pretty sure, and they'll have had a lot to deal with.
"We certainly send our warmest regards to them concerning that situation, and hope Iain Hume gets back as soon as possible.
"It's something that's maybe taken away from the game at the weekend, so we've got to go up there and respect the situation that has happened."
Last season Hume scored a wonder goal for former club Leicester City as the Hornets suffered a 4-1 drubbing at the Walkers Stadium.
