WATFORD have appointed reserve team coach Malky Mackay to the position of caretaker manager, following Aidy Boothroyd's departure yesterday (Monday).

Mackay, aged 36, will be assisted by current first team coach Martin Hunter, and former Hornets defender Sean Dyche, who is currently with the Club's Academy, whilst senior coach Alec Chamberlain also remains in position.
