SORDELL JOINS THE STONES
WATFORD'S Academy scholar Marvin Sordell has joined local non-league side Wealdstone on work experience as the rookie striker looks to gain further competitive experience.
It's a path that many before him have taken and spells with the Stones helped the likes of John-Joe O'Toole, Theo Robinson, Liam Henderson and Dale Bennett.
Wealdstone are in action tomorrow (Saturday) against Tiverton Town in the FA Trophy, the Stones are currently 14th in the Ryman Premier League.
Sordell is a second year scholar and has had an outstanding season to date; scoring freely for both the under 18s and the reserve team.
He will link up with Wealdstone and come across two former Hornets on their books. Ex-Academy defender Marvin McCoy and midfielder Kieron Forbes, who was released at the end of last season, are both part of the current set-up at Grosvenor Vale.
