THE Golden Boys are making two trips to Sheffield this month as part of a hectic late September schedule, which will see the 'Orns in action seven times over the next 21 days!
Leigh Bromby grew up playing his football in Sheffield and is one of the few players to have represented both Wednesday and United.
The centre-half, who has started every game for the Hornets this campaign, is relishing the prospect of the two tough away fixtures in the space of two weeks, starting at Hillsborough, his former home, on Saturday.
He said: "I'm looking forward to it, obviously they are two of my former teams so I'm looking forward to going back to them both."
Sheffield has two strong football clubs, dividing the city down the middle. Bromby has played for both, a rare achievement to play for both City and Wednesday. Bromby started his career at Wednesday and spent six years with the club.
After not being offered a new contract by the Owls in 2004, the opportunity came up to join United, an opportunity that could not be passed up, despite his loyalties, as the Blades were playing in a higher division.
Bromby is under no illusions that the reception he receives on Saturday is unlikely to be rapturous as the passionate fans of Sheffield do not forget those who cross the divide.
He added: "I can't see the reception being a good one but hopefully they can realise that I grew up there and played my heart out for the team, for both teams and that's what it's about really."

"It's a big football city. I think that's why I enjoyed my time there so much. Everyone in the city enjoys their football and there is a big rivalry between the two clubs and you can sense that when you're there. It's a fantastic city and both clubs are really big clubs and good football teams."
There will no be divided loyalties on Saturday though. Bromby and the rest of the camp are in a bullish mood following an impressive comeback at Vicarage Road against a much fancied Ipswich side.
The 'Orns have the edge over the Owls when it comes to experience and Bromby is sure that they have the quality to take their first three away points of the season, back on his old stomping ground.
Bromby added: "We've been working hard this weak and everyone is positive, the manager and players feel confident as well so we'll be looking for a good win."
