IT may be a weekend off for the Premier League and Football League but London football fans can still catch some of their favourite stars in action as England under 21s take on Portugal in their final European Championship qualifier at Wembley Stadium on Friday 5 September (k.o. 7.45pm).

Tickets are available at just £10 for adults and £5 concessions and fans can look forward to some fantastic action, with England knowing that a win will guarantee their place at the play-offs in October, meaning they are just one step from qualifying for the UEFA European Championships in summer 2009.

This is second time in recent months that the under 21s have played at Wembley after officially opening the Stadium with a thrilling 3-3 draw against Italy in March this year.

The squad features six London based players, including Tom Huddlestone, Aaron Lennon and Jamie O'Hara of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal's Theo Walcott, Mark Noble of West Ham and Chelsea's Michael Mancienne.

Stuart Pearce's side will be hoping to build on the success of their opening match of the season, a 2-1 win against Slovenia at Hull last week. But they are sure to face a stern test from a highly rated Portugal under 21 side who held Pearce's team to a draw in Agueda in November last year.

Pearce commented: "We're delighted to be back at Wembley again. It's a massive game for the boys and we hope that as many people as possible will come along and support the team. The fans' support means everything and I'm sure they will spur the team on."

Tickets are priced £10 adults and £5 concessions for Level 1 and £15 (no concessions) on Level 2. Tickets are available now from the hotline on 0844 826 2010 or via www.TheFA.com/Tickets where further information can be found. Tickets are also available to buy at the stadium on the night.
