TWICE AS YOUNG
THERE was a clamoring of Watford fans asking for autographs and photos as Ashley Young descended upon Boreham Wood last night.
The former Hornet was in town to watch younger brother Lewis turn out for Aidy Boothroyd's side as he too looks to make the step up to the first team, following in the footsteps of his older brother.
Lewis was introduced on the hour mark, after high fiving Ashley as he warmed up down the touchline.
Speaking after the game, Ashley said: "It was a bit weird seeing him out there where I used to be. It's always nice to come and see him play - especially now he's made it to playing alongside the first team.
"I know he's got aspirations to follow in my footsteps and make a success of himself here and he's got a great chance to do that.
"I broke into the first team when I was 18 and he's out there now at the same age showing what he can do.

"I think he did well tonight. It's always hard to tell at this stage of the season when everyone has only just come back and it's their first game. But it was nice to see him have a run out and get a few touches.
"Everyone did well. It was one of those games where everyone was trying to impress because they want to be in the manager's plans come the first game of the season."
