WATFORD centre half Dan Shittu has received treatment on his hamstring injury and is now enjoying the close-season break.

This is contrary to reports stating the Nigerian international had picked up a fresh knee injury while away with the Super Eagles. 

The defender had in fact missed the international friendly with the same injury that had sidelined him for the second leg against Hull in the play-offs. 

Shittu will now recover over the summer and join up with the squad for pre-season training in early July.
