WE are pleased to announce the final details for the ESFA Schools' Cup Final, which is to be played at Vicarage Road on Tuesday May 20th.

The final will kick off at 1.00pm and admission will be £3 for adults and £1 for concessions (students and OAPs).

Admission to Vicarage Road will be via gate 14 in the north west corner of the stadium - turnstiles will open at 12.30pm.

The final is between The Harefield Academy and Cardinal Heenan Sports College from Liverpool. Watford's youngsters at Harefield have made the under 15s final and it is some achievement when over 1,000 schools entered the competition back in September.

Boss Aidy Boothroyd has penned some notes for the souvenir match programme and in part, here is what he has to say.

"From a personal point of view, it is really exciting to see a Harefield Academy team do so well in the competition. Watford FC has had a very special relationship with the Harefield Academy for the last two years and it became even stronger last September when we launched our groundbreaking project that gives young players more exposure to technical coaching while ensuring they also receive a first class education.

"The aim of the project is to produce not only accomplished footballers, but also well rounded young men. The project gives talented players from the local area the same opportunity that is commonplace across Europe at several of the major clubs."

If you were at the recent home game with Scunthorpe you will have seen the boys on the pitch at half time practicing penalties.
