HORNETS SIGN THREE
WATFORD have offered professional terms to three of their second year scholars, as it was decision day at London Colney for a total of seven Hornets' youngsters.
Liam Henderson, Lewis Young and Dale Bennett have all been offered one-year deals with the club for next season and will look to emulate the likes of Richard Lee, Tommy Smith, Lloyd Doyley, and more recently John-Joe O'Toole, in breaking into the first-team under Aidy Boothroyd.

A further two players in the shape of Aaron Beech and Ewan Clarke will be retained until Christmas due to injuries suffered this season, in which time they too will look to impress coaches such as Dick Bate, David Dodds and Sean Dyche as they bid to earn their own deals.

Sadly both Kieran Forbes and Raphael Brown have not been offered contracts, although it is hoped both will have a bright future in the sport after two years of intensive schooling under the Hornets' much vaunted Academy system.

Speaking of the decisions, Academy Manager David Dodds said: "Aidy Boothroyd sat the boys down and told them of our decision and we gave them feedback on that.
"For those boys released, education is paramount, but they will also go to the Premier League exit trials next week in Warwick, where they will be in the shop window for other clubs."
