AL THANKS PILGRIMS
WITH Watford travelling to Plymouth on Saturday, there will be one of the Hornets with an affinity with the Pilgrims.
At the peak of the campaign to allow Al Bangura to continue his residence in the UK, the Sierra Leone midfielder showed his thanks to the fans at the Watford home fixture on December 15.
Visitors that day were Plymouth Argyle, who also stood to support his campaign.
Bangura said: "I'll never forget the support that they showed me that day. I was a bit nervous of walking past them at first as I didn't know how they would greet me, but they were fantastic.
"It was nice to know that I had the support of all football fans and not just the people of Watford.
"It was a scary time for me, but to see them all cheering and singing my name made me smile.
"Hopefully the Plymouth fans know that I won my fight to remain in the UK and it will be nice to see them again on Saturday as I'd like to show my appreciation."
