BARNSLEY GAME SHIFTS 24 HOURS

Posted on: Sat 15 Mar 2008

WATFORD'S home tie with Barnsley, originally scheduled for Tuesday April 8, has been moved back 24 hours due to their continued involvement in the FA Cup.

The Tykes had originally been due to play the 'Orns last weekend, but due to their quarter-final tie with Chelsea - which they won 1-0 - the game was moved to the April date.

Now, following news of their next FA Cup date with Cardiff City, the Vicarage Road game has been moved to the revised date of Wednesday April 9, 7.45pm kick-off.

This is due to Football League rules, stating that all Tuesday fixtures must be moved back to a Wednesday evening if either or both of the teams involved have a fixture on the preceding Sunday.
