FOLLOWING his first start in a Watford shirt, Collins John has lifted the lid on the 'Watford way' that has got him wanting to pledge his future to the club.
John joined Darius Henderson in attack for the clash of the titans at Aston Gate this evening, but is was the long haul that interests the loanee.
Speaking after the 0-0 draw he said: "There's just something about this club that makes something inside of me stir whenever I think about it. I wake up every morning excited about training.
"I enjoyed playing up front with Darius, he's a great guy to play alongside and I'm looking forward to improving the partnership.
"I wish I could have played more tonight, but I haven't played properly since December, so it's my first game in over three months. The manager wanted to bring me off and go with one up front and I have to respect him for that."
When asked about his future, John made it clear where he sees it.
"Whether we go up or not, this is where I want to be. I've never felt settled anywhere else before and yet I came here and felt at home right away. I've never felt a team spirit like it here, it's intoxicating.
"The fans, the manager, the physios and all of the players have helped me so far and I want to repay them with goals. This is somewhere where I really feel I could be at home."
John now knows that Saturday's is a must win game: "It's massive, it really is. We're unbeaten in ten, but a lot of those have been draws. It's a cliché but we have to turn these draws into wins. Starting with Saturday."
