DAN Shittu once again popped up with an invaluable goal against Norwich, but it wasn't enough to give Watford all three points.
It was Shittu's former QPR team mate Jamie Cureton who stole a share of the spoils for the Canaries to leave an irritated Hornets defender.
"It was a game we should have won," he said.
"We know that these are the games that we should be winning and we've got a tough week coming up with games against Bristol and Stoke, yet ironically we've drawn with teams in and around the bottom and seemed to do well against those doing well, so hopefully we'll get two results next week.
"We're disappointed to have drawn the game, when we're playing at home we should be finishing these games off.
"I can't put my finger on what we were lacking; you'd have to ask the gaffer that. We wanted them to leave here with no points and they've left here with one.
"But we're still confident, we still believe. We had a talk in the changing rooms afterwards to see what was wrong and what had to be put right, and it will be done."
The Hornets will have to wait a while to put things right with a weekend off, a free Saturday that will now be spent in preparation for the trip to Bristol.
"We don't want to be missing too many weekends and putting games off. We'll just train and be looking forward to Tuesday's game.
"We said at the start of the season that we couldn't afford to lose any games. We want to win every one of them"
