O'TOOLE APPEAL

Posted on: Wed 13 Feb 2008

WATFORD have today appealed against the red card shown towards John-Joe O'Toole in last night's game against Leicester City.

O'Toole was adjudged to have denied a goal scoring opportunity for Leicester City's Stephen Clemence in the 39th minute of the 1-0 win.

But Watford lodged their appeal prior to today's 1pm deadline and now plan to see the suspension overturned. Watford will submit video evidence to back their case and will know the outcome of the appeal by 1pm tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon.

If the appeal is successful then O'Toole will be eligible to play in Saturday's game against Charlton Athletic at The Valley.
