HENDERSON: FANS WERE ELEVENTH MAN
DARIUS Henderson praised the Vicarage Road faithful for their buoyant and ferocious backing that helped bring the 'Orns three massive points.
The home support roared the Hornets on in the final stages and were the eleventh man after Watford had seen John-Joe O'Toole dismissed in the first half.
It was the big striker who scored the solitary goal that stole all three points from Leicester and he couldn't have been more delighted. He summed up the confidence in the camp when the first question from the press pack was 'Are you missing Marlon King?'
"Does it look like it?" He replied with a wry smile.
"It's all going well for us so far, we're top of the league and maintaining it. I had missed the chance just moments before so I had to make sure that I put that one away when I did.
"But I must just say, the fans were tremendous tonight, they always are, but tonight they were especially so. We know they've been frustrated of late, but they sang their hearts out tonight and we all appreciate it and I hope they keep it up.
"Tonight's performance saw us dig in like never before, luckily the staff here keep us in tip top condition so we're able to cover a lot of ground."
That's three wins in a row now for the Hornets and Henderson knows that there is no further distance than yesterday, so for now, it's all about keeping it up and concentrating on the next game.
"The new faces have given us a boost and they've all settled in really well, even the likes of Collins John who hasn't even played yet has been in the dressing room rallying around everyone and has become a part of the team.
"The game against Charlton on Saturday is massive now, they had their fair share of chances here a few weeks ago so we know what they're all about.
"A lot has been said about our performances, but you know what a good performance is for me? One that we get a win out of."
