DUKE'S A HAZARD
THEY say 'cometh the hour, cometh the man' and that was quite literally the case for Nathan Ellington, who netted his first goal for the club in timely fashion.
As Watford lined up without Marlon King, Ellington stepped up to the plate and put the Hornets ahead just seconds before the hour mark.
And now, he knows this is just the beginning of his new era at Vicarage Road.
"It was great to get off the mark, it meant a lot to me. It would have been better if we'd won however, that was the most important result.
"There was a great reaction from the fans and it was a special moment for me. I want to show them that there's more to come now.
"It's been difficult so far to get match fit, I still don't feel 100 percent, but hopefully this will be the start of something now, otherwise it's like a vicious circle - no games, no match fitness.

"The gaffer said to me that I would be starting and to make the place mine, that's what I tried to do, so hopefully I've done myself justice."
The absence of Marlon King gave Ellington his shot, but he knows that while trying to keep his place, he's going to have others snapping at his heels.
"There's always competition for places, of course the more people that leave it's always going to be better for you if you're fighting for a place. But I know that the likes of Tamas Priskin will be pushing as well, so there's never time to get complacent.
"I'd love to start a great strike partnership up with Darius Henderson now. He did well to set up the goal for me, he does that so well, just out muscling people and dropping the ball down into your path.
"As for Marlon, he's scored a lot of goals for Watford and if he does leave then of course he will be missed. I just hope that I can score enough goals to ensure that he's not missed that much."
