WATFORD LADIES 2 LEEDS UNITED 4
AFTER an even first half, league newcomers Watford will have learnt that you cannot lose concentration for even a short period of time at this level.
Leeds took the lead on 19 minutes in a contentious manner, with Watford claiming offside against goal scorer Barr. This was the difference between the two teams at the break.
Watford had manufactured several chances but not managed to capitalise on any of them and came in 0-1 down.
However, during the first 10 minutes after the break Watford managed to concede three goals in quick succession and had seemingly lost concentration altogether and found themselves four down.
The 56th minute saw Donnique Sinclair-Chambers enter the fray and she quickly made an impact by pulling a goal back for the hosts within a few minutes of her arrival.
Watford then began to fight back and put more and more pressure on the Leeds defence as the game continued.
In the last 15-20 minutes, Watford dominated but unfortunately couldn't register a second goal until the 88th minute from another Cori Daniels header, and time simply ran out for the young Hornets.

Manager Sian Williams said: "We let ourselves down for probably 15 minutes at the start of the second half where we allowed ourselves to be dominated physically and just didn't look like we were at the races.
"To be fair to Leeds, they came out much brighter after the break and won the game in that snippet of time which is a frustrating reality for us, as I actually felt that for much of the game we edged it.
"However, we have not been good enough in the final third over the last few games which is uncharacteristic of us. We must develop further both individually and as a team if we are to continue to achieve good results.
"Having said that, I am very proud of what the girls have achieved so far and have faith that we will bounce back from these last two games stronger and wiser."
