WATFORD LFC 3 v 2 BIRMINGHAM CITY LFC

WATFORD edged out Birmingham City 3-2, to make the semi-final of the Premier League Cup, despite the visitors pulling back two late goals.

Helen Lander scored five minutes either side of the interval, with Cori Daniels seemingly making sure of a semi-final place with a headed third on 72 minutes.

But Dani Bird replied three minutes later, before Laura Bassett converted a penalty one minute from time.

WATFORD: Hourihan, Burrows, Kemp, Thomas, Hincks, Maggs, Lander, Wade, Husselbee, Daniels, Sinclair-Chambers.

Subs: Davey, O'Toole, Beckett, Weston, Phillips.

Goals: Lander 40, 50, Daniels 72.

BIRMINGHAM: Wood, Archer, Lacey, Bassett, Scheuber, Butler, Weston, Durrant, Harrop, Ward, Bird.

Subs: Horwood, Samuels, Gauntlet, Hall, Andreas.

Goals: Bird 75, Bassett 89 pen.
