WATFORD Ladies went down by four goals to two on Sunday (7th October) as in-form Blackburn continued their climb up the table in the FA Tesco Women's Premier League. 

A dramatic opening to the match saw Karen Burke give Blackburn a second minute lead, only for Helen Lander to level a minute later. Natalie Preston re-established Rovers' advantage just before half-time.

Katie Anderton extended the lead on 65 minutes, Emma Beckett replied after 84 minutes but Stacey Daniel put the game out of Watford's reach with a fourth a minute later.
