WATFORD loan signing Adam Johnson has been called up to the England U21 squad set to face Montenegro.

Manager Stuart Pearce will be looking to pick up maximum points in the UEFA European U21 Championship qualifiers against Montenegro and also the Republic of Ireland on October 16.

The U21's have been performing superbly of late, with a 3-0 win against Montenegro and a 2-0 win over Bulgaria. England currently sit joint top of the table on six points with Portugal.

The game will be played at Leicester City's Walkers Stadium on Friday October 12, kick off at 8pm.
