STRIKER Darius Henderson has today (Monday) committed his future to Watford by signing an improved deal with the club that ties him to the Hornets until 2011.

The 25-year-old scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Ipswich Town and his commitment to the club will be another boost to Aidy Boothroyd's already-strong squad.

Plenty of speculation has surrounded the future of the Hornets' number 10 but Henderson was keen to pledge his allegiance to the Golden Boys.

He said: "It's nice to finally put pen to paper. I am delighted - hopefully I can carry on where I left off on Saturday by scoring goals.

"We've got nine points out of a possible twelve, so at the moment we are in promotion form. As long as we can maintain that form I'm sure everyone involved with Watford Football Club will be delighted. All of the speculation is in the past now, I'm just looking forward to giving my all for Watford."

Henderson joined the Hornets in August, 2005 and went on to forge a successful partnership with Marlon King in the promotion winning campaign that year. The striker bagged 15 goals that season and has already proved his worth to the Hornets so far this time round in the Championship.
