THE DUKE'S A HAZARD
NATHAN Ellington was delighted to put pen to paper for Watford and didn't hold back when telling the Glory Hornet's faithful what they can expect to see from him.
Promising goals galore and spectacular ones at that, the man known as 'Duke' will certainly have won a place in the supporters' hearts when he fulfils his pledge.
Ellington also had praise for manager Aidy Boothroyd as once again the gaffer's infectious enthusiasm helped to secure another signing.
He said: "The prospect of playing for a manager who is so highly regarded is very exciting for me. I know the other players think highly of him as well and it won't be a surprise that this will be a club pushing for promotion.
"The manager is very enthusiastic, ambitious and passionate. He knows where he wants to get and hopefully I'll be able to help him get there along with the rest of the squad. He has that feeling of wanting to get to the Premiership and I can certainly say I share that desire."
Speaking of what the Vicarage Road faithful can expect from him, Ellington will certainly win himself a few fans.
"Spectacular goals! You'll see me here, there and everywhere. I've got a bit of everything, a lot of variety and I hope the fans enjoy watching me.
"I'm looking forward to playing up front alongside Marlon King and Darius Henderson. I've heard good things about them both."
Ellington puts his name down into the hall of fame after becoming the club's record signing, but the only figures Watford's newest striker is interested in is how many goals he'll rack up come the end of the season.
"I'm flattered, it makes me feel very valued but I don't really think about the price tag, just what I'm going to be able to produce in a Watford shirt."
