WATFORD WORLD APOLOGY

Posted on: Mon 20 Aug 2007

THE official Watford website www.watfordfc.com would like to apologise to supporters for the technical problems which occurred during Saturday's game and disrupted their Watford World commentary of the home game with Sheffield United.

A central error at Premium TV resulted in World services going down across the entire 78 clubs on the PTV network.

The club will be taking this matter further with PTV as it is hugely disappointing that the service should fail on only the second Saturday of the new season, and it is simply unacceptable that this should happen at any point during the campaign.

Whilst Watford Football Club has no direct control of the provision of services by PTV, who were appointed by FLi (Football League Interactive) to run club platforms, we do appreciate that supporters have parted with their money to use the service and would like to reassure fans that we are doing everything we can with PTV to make sure this doesn't happen again, including making representation to the Football League, FLi and PTV management teams.

We would like to thank you for your continued support and again apologise for the disruption caused on Saturday.
