WATFORD will be one of the first teams to play in the new MK Dons Stadium this pre-season.

Aidy Boothroyd's men will take on the MK Dons at their impressive new home on Wednesday August 1 at 7.45pm.

The club have forged links with the Dons over the last year, taking Watford loanees Dominic Blizzard and Albert Jarrett into the fold this season.

MK Dons boast Izale McLeod, League Two's joint top scorer, the much traveled Clive Platt and of course Milton Keynes is also the home of former Watford manager Ray Lewington's son Dean.

Traveling Watford fans will be in for a treat at the state of the art stadium which is having the finishing touches added over the next few weeks.

The new UEFA Four Star ground boasts 30,000 top of the range cushioned seats, similar too those found at Arsenal's Emirates stadium.

Stadium:mk's open concourse and superior Meyer sound system are also both firsts to UK stadium design and Watford fans will be some of the first to sample what the new ground has to offer.

The warm up to the 2007/08 season will also see Watford travel to Germany. More details on our opposition and match locations will be announced on www.watfordfc.com as soon as the details have been finalised.
