TRUST: CAN YOU DONATE ITEMS FOR OUR NEW WATFORD-BASED STORE?

Posted on: Fri 03 Feb 2012

WATFORD'S Community Sports & Education Trust, in partnership with Sports Traider, yesterday (Thursday) opened their new shop in The Harlequin shopping centre.

The shop is now up and running and is selling donated sports clothing and equipment at a minimal cost, however we need your help to ensure the shop can go from strength-to-strength.

The Hornets' Trust is working in partnership with Sports Traider, a youth focused charity, on the Watford town centre store.

Half of any proceeds (after costs) generated from the shop with be donated by Sports Traider to Watford FC's Community Sports and Education Trust to help fund local community sports projects run by the Trust.

But we need your help. This Saturday at the Hornets' home game vs Barnsley, we will be collecting unwanted sports equipment and replica kit on behalf of Sports Traider.

So please bring along any items you think would be suitable. Collection points will be located at each turnstile at Vicarage Road.

We also need volunteers to work at the Sports Traider shop.

You will become a part of a dynamic and diverse team of volunteers. You will be required to sort stock, prepare items for sale, assist customers with their purchases, sell shop goods and help to keep the shop tidy.

The charity sports shop will provide opportunities for all. The role will include working alongside volunteers from a range of our partners, under the guidance of a shop manager.

Hours of work are to be agreed so if you are over 16 years of age, have some spare time, want to put something back into your community and are interested in becoming part of this exciting project, please contact Ann Watt on 01923 496231 or by email ann.watt@watfordfc.com
