TWO of the finest individual performances I have ever seen at a live football match have come in Spurs / Watford clashes.

Sadly they were both from Tottenham players - that awful Mr Klinsmann and that swooning Monsieur Ginola.

On separate miserable occasions the mullet haired swine's ripped us apart with such class you couldn't help but, 'Oooh' a little bit as they circled Steve Palmer (or someone from that era) with cheeky flips and flicks.

That's why I was gagging for revenge last week. Revenge against all those annoying Tottenham fans who expect such fancy footwork week in week out because they're a "mahooosive" club.

When the power went out in The Rookery just before kick off, I was convinced it wasn't going to be our night - another Spurs mauling.

People were temporarily beerless, and rumour has it at least one poor gentleman splashed urine on his own shoes whilst tinkling in the dark. Not good.

But things quickly perked up. Back from wherever the hell he has been hiding in recent games, the drummer started thumping, the atmosphere lifted, the lights came back on, and what do you know… Tamas scores an opener, after the coolest of finishes past "The Octopus".

After that it wasn't quite Jurgen or Ginola stuff, but the Hornets really did try to entertain us at times, despite the fact Spurs really turned up the heat.

I have to admit it's quite strange sitting in The Rookery watching chains of attacking passing, but its great to see they can do it, and I can't wait for the lads to get to even more to grips with the new system - no matter how long it takes.

Okay, we lost this one, but give us a bit longer and I'm sure we'll be ready for another crack… maybe in the FA Cup or in The Championship next season if the Tottenham players forget how to win again.

Oh, and can someone glue that drummer to his seat? It was great to have him back, getting the noise going - with that empty East Stand making a funny atmosphere, we surely need him every week!
