What is it?

The new Access Card provides benefits to both the supporter and the club. Most importantly, the cards will allow quicker access through the turnstiles, thereby minimising queues and allowing supporters to get to their seats more quickly.

Removing the need for supporters to be sent match tickets, particularly those purchasing late, avoids the need for collecting tickets at the ticket office before the game.

How do I use my card?

To enter the stadium you simply hold the card into a reader at the entrance to the turnstile. The reader then checks immediately against the database to confirm the card is valid for that game. You then go through the turnstile.

A series of lights on the inside then confirms to the Customer Support Steward whether the card is valid for an adult or a concession rate.

What happens if I have a problem with my card upon entry?

Should you encounter any problems there will be Supervisors both inside and outside of the turnstiles who will be able to assist. Alternatively, you can go to the Ticket Office for help.

Does this change the way in which I make a booking?

No, supporters will continue to be able to book seats using all normal methods. The access card does not need to be present to have game information uploaded.

Who gets one?

All season ticket holders will be administered with a 'Season Card', which will provide admittance to all home league games during the season.

Regular ticket purchasers will receive a 'Fan Card', which allows individual games to be uploaded, thus enabling you to avoid the queues.

Does having a card change the way I make a booking?

No, supporters will continue to be able to book seats using all normal methods. The access card does not need to be present to have game information uploaded.

Can my 'Season Card' be used for cup games?

Yes. Season Ticket holders will need to purchase any home Cup / Play-Off matches as usual and your card will then be activated for that particular game. If the auto-cup scheme has been selected, the game will automatically be loaded onto the card subject to the credit card provided being authorised for the relevant payment.

Can my card be used for away games?

Not yet, paper tickets will still be issued. However, a long term benefit of the card may be that cards could be valid for other stadiums using the same system.

Where can I use it?

As well as using your card to gain access to the ground, you will also be able to use your Access Card at all retail and catering outlets within Vicarage Road as well as the Customer Service desk within the Harlequin Centre.

Why do I need one?

Going forward, your Access Card will have the capacity to act as a loyalty card, to enable us to allocate tickets for high profile matches on a completely fair basis along with rewarding our best customers in retail and catering.

More details will be released soon regarding a new loyalty programme, however, all purchases made in the mean time will be recorded and therefore we urge you to always purchase through Watford FC. Tickets for away matches bought through the opposition club or any tickets bought by paying cash on turnstiles for either home or away games will NOT count towards the loyalty programme.

What happens if I lose my card?

As soon as you realise you have lost your card, you should report it to the sales centre. The card will then be cancelled and a new one issued (assuming it hasn't already been used to gain access to the Stadium if it is a match day). There will be an appropriate charge for replacing lost or stolen Access Cards.

What information is held on my card?

The information stored on your card includes your name and Fan ID number including the history of your registered Watford ticket purchases. It will also include details such as date of birth, entitlement to any concessions and in time, your loyalty points total.

Can I upgrade a child's Access Card for one particular game so that an adult can attend?

Yes, we can do this providing you contact the ticket office before the match day. The charge is the difference between the cost of the season ticket per game and the adult price for the particular game.

I've noticed on my card it tells me what turnstile to go through. Can I access the stadium any other way?

You will now only be able to access the stadium by the correct turnstiles. The turnstile numbers are printed onto the card itself, and you will not be able to enter the stadium any other way.
