TWO goals in a matter of minutes was enough to hand Barnsley all three points at Oakwell as they came from behind to beat the Hornets.
Watford took the lead after the break through Tommy Smith and that was looking to be enough as the Tykes were frustrated by the Hornets' rearguard.
However two goals in two minutes completely changed the face of the game and turned it on its head.
Goals from Miguel Mostto and Stephen Foster did the damage and the Golden Boys were unable to come back despite throwing on some attacking players from the substitutes' bench.
Caretaker boss Malky Mackay named an unchanged starting XI for the trip to Oakwell to face Simon Davey's men.

Academy graduate Ross Jenkins made his league debut after appearing in four Carling Cup outings so far this campaign.
The Scotsman named an attacking substitutes' bench with John-Joe O'Toole, Grzegorz Rasiak and Will Hoskins all included.
The hosts made six changes after suffering a derby defeat to neigbours Sheffield United in their last game.
The Tykes started the stronger and the re-called Kayode Odejayi was in menacing form after finding the net as a sub last weekend. Early on he tussled with both the Watford centre halves, Jay DeMerit and Leigh Bromby.
Jamal Campbell-Ryce flashed in a dangerous ball from the right that had the Watford defence at sixes and sevens.
Meanwhile for the Hornets, Bromby's long throw-in caused problems as firstly Lee Williamson's snap drive was blocked before Jon Harley's had an effort blocked by the home defence.

The Golden Boys were given a warning on 10 minutes when the home side struck the woodwork. Jon Macken was given too much space in the penalty area and after taking a touch he unleashed a stinging shot which had Richard Lee beaten but cannoned back off the bar.
Both teams continued to pick holes at one another and after settling down the 'Orns were passing the ball around nicely in midfield with Jenkins adding some protection to the back four.
After again supporting the strike force, Williamson tried a curling effort that sailed wide of Heinz Miller's post.
He then turned provider as he released Jobi McAnuff down the flank but Rob Kozluk recovered to make a challenge before the ex-Eagle could place the ball in the box.
A quick Watford free kick was taken after a foul in midfield and Tamas Priskin eventually forced a reaction save from Muller to turn the ball round the post for a corner kick.

Priskin then showed good awareness by straying between the two central defenders and drawing the ball back. Williamson was lurking along with Smith but the ball was headed behind for a corner.
The home crowd were appealing for a penalty kick on 33 minutes as a fast paced ball whipped in from the left came through to Odejayi who was trying to get to the ball along with captain DeMerit. Neither player could get there but the home fans believed the American obstructed his run.
Watford had two exceptional chances within two minutes as firstly Williamson set up an opportunity. He fed the ball out to McAnuff who beat his man and got to the by-line. His draw-back found Priskin but his curling shot went just over Muller's cross bar.
Then moments later a Harley drive was blocked when it seemed destined to be nestling in the back of the net.
The half drew to a close with a few talking points and it could have easily seen the home side one goal to the good.
DeMerit gave the ball away and gifted it to Odejayi, clean through on goal it looked like the big striker had thought he'd scored already and his leisurely approach didn't fool Lee.

He attempted to chip the 'keeper, but the local lad stood strong and gathered the ball in his arms, it was a huge let off for the visitors.
Then in stoppage time at the end of the first half, the Hornets had to finish with 10 men as Bromby headed straight to the dressing room to stop the flow of blood which was coming from his head after a clash of heads.
The ex-Blade returned for the second period with a white bandage around the cut but he didn't appear to show any ill effects as he headed clear an early downfield ball.
The Golden Boys got their noses in front seven minutes into the second half as Smith's cheeky back heel wrong footed 'keeper Muller.
Smith had originally started the move after the Tykes lost possession in midfield. Harley gave the current Player of the Year the ball and he spread it wide to McAnuff.

Firstly he did terrifically well to keep it in play and after Aidy Mariappa supported him the ball came back to McAnuff.
He hit the by-line and poked the ball in for Smith who had made a near post run and he dinked it past the 'keeper from within the six yard box.
The home side immediately made a change and stepped up the gears and started to put the Hornets under further pressure.

Campbell-Ryce's low stinger was blocked by Lee's legs as the crosses started to come flying into the box.
However the Hornets continued to carve out opportunities and just before Grzegorz Rasiak came on for Priskin on the hour mark, Smith's accurate pass found Harley who smashed a ball just wide of Muller's post.
It then went wrong for the 'Orns in a crazy two minute spell as they surrendered the lead and the Tykes took the lead.
The Watford defence switched off for the first as substitute Mostto found himself in the box and he finished low past Lee.
Then after a deep corner kick into the crowded penalty area the ball was put back across goal and after a scramble near the goal line, captain Foster bundled the ball over the line as Oakwell erupted.
The Hornets were still under siege though as Lee blocked a double Campbell-Ryce shot and Macken saw his low shot deflected behind for a corner kick.

Smith's darting run down the right flank with just a minute left gave the Hornets hope. But as he burst into the area and put the ball across the Golden Boys couldn't meet the ball inside the box.
Four minutes of injury time was added on but as the 'Orns pushed men forward, including subs Will Hoskins and John-Joe O'Toole they were unable to draw the scores level.
Hoskins saw his shot inside the area blocked and that was the last chance the Hornets had as the home side took all three points.
