FPA NEWS: T20 CRICKET AT AMERSHAM THIS THURSDAY

Posted on: Mon 18 Jul 2011

ALEC CHAMBERLAIN, Luther Blissett, Steve Palmer and Alan Mayes will be among members of the Former Players' Association taking to the field for a T20 challenge match at Amersham Cricket Club this Thursday (July 21).

These events are always a great chance to catch up with ex-Hornets in informal surroundings - and this game should be a special one coming as it does during the Buckinghamshire club's busy 'Cricket Week'.

Other names also set to feature include Palmer's fellow London Masters winner Derek Payne, former 80s striker David Johnson, and FPA co-ordinator himself Neil Price.

Amersham CC's Shardeloes ground, in Old Amersham, will be the setting for Thursday evening's bat-wielding excitement. Click HERE to access Amersham CC's website, with ground details and directions.

The game is set for a start as near to 5.30pm as possible, with a likely finish time of 8pm - giving plenty of chance to pop over after work for Watford supporters looking to catch up with some familiar faces.

There'll be plenty of razzmatazz, with coloured clothing, music intros for the players, a BBQ and full bar facility at Shardeloes. We'll see you there!
