OVER 19 thousand fans were at Vicarage Road last Saturday (29 May) to witness a spectacular concert thanks to Sir Elton John.
However, behind the fun and laughter of the night, there was a great sadness over the event as well, as Club and event staff remembered a much-loved colleague who should have been there.
Mick Kluczynski was a very well-known Event Producer and Sound Engineer who worked on the previous Elton John concert at Vicarage Road in 2005. He was the founder of MJK Productions, the company behind the organisation of many of Elton's concerts.
Mick was one of the British music industry's most influential personalities whose name became synonymous with the Brit Awards. He is rightly credited with steering the event to the prestigeous international position that it now holds.

Mick tragically died of a heart attack two years ago, his final touring show being an Elton John show in Doncaster. MJK Productions closed when Mick died but since then his colleagues have been continuing his passion and business in his memory with his protegè, Lisa Shenton, forming her own production company, Papilo Productions, after his death.
Lisa returned to Vicarage Road on Saturday to produce Elton's concert in his memory.
To mark Mick's life, spirit and love for music and his job, a Scottish flag was flown at Vicarage Road on Saturday to represent his presence at the gig.
Papilo Productions and Lisa would like to thank Watford FC for this gesture which meant a lot to Mick's family, friends and former colleagues.
