AHEAD of today's (Saturday 29 May) Playing for Players concert by Elton John at Vicarage Road, Watford's Chief Executive Officer feels it has the potential to be a 'pivotal event' that brings the community together.
Preparations have been in place for a long time at the Club and since the start of the week workmen have been on site erecting the stage and seating area on the hallowed turf.
Speaking this week at Vicarage Road, Julian Winter said: "I think it's absolutely fabulous for the Club.
"I've been watching the stage and surrounding areas progress all of this week and you've got to pay tribute to Paddy [Flavin - Project Manager] and all of the operational team for getting this together, because it's no mean feat.
"The whole ground has changed significantly; a fantastic amount of work has gone into making Vicarage Road suitable for a concert. It's really exciting and great for us as a Football Club to have an association with Elton and that he's prepared to do this for us."
It has been another year of high drama for the Club but since Championship survival was confirmed it has given everyone connected with the Golden Boys something to look forward to.
He added: "It brings a positive feel to the end of the season, now that we've stayed in the Championship and it prepares us for next season, because as everyone knows it is raising some money to allow us to acquire players.
"Saturday will be another one of those pivotal events that brings people together.

"I wasn't here for the last concert, but you can tell from the footage and from what I hear about it that it was an event where everyone came together."
Watford boss Malky Mackay has also spoken ahead of Elton's third ever concert at Watford's famous old stadium.
The singer's feelings for the Club are well known and the Scotsman believes it will be a great event for everyone associated with the Club.
He said: "Elton is a huge fan of this Club and has been a supporter of this Club for many years.
"We're of course delighted he's agreed to perform at Vicarage Road and give the proceeds to the Club.
"It clearly shows how much passion he has for this Club."
