AT the time of writing (10.00am), the Hornets have sold over 8000 tickets for Sir Elton John's homecoming concert at Vicarage Road next year.

The number of tickets sold already this morning amounts to a record number sold for any event by the Hornets, with the club's online facility handling all purchases since 8.00am.

Seats in the Lower Rous have now sold out. However, availability in the Upper Rous and the £100 seats on the pitch at Vicarage Road, are still available at the time of writing.

Tickets for the Rookery Stand and the Vicarage Road End are selling fast, but are still currently available.
