CLUB TEAMS UP WITH WEST HERTS COLLEGE
AS part of 'Operation Business: 1st', two key partners in the local business community have teamed up to work together, with Watford FC forging links with West Herts College.
Head of Corporate, Raj Athwal, commented: "This once again demonstrates the intention of the Club to reach out to the community and businesses in the Hertfordshire area and beyond.
"With a series of networking functions and initiatives to be launched these are exciting times commercially."
The well-respected College has a history which can be traced back to 1947 and along with the Football Club are key players in the local community.
'Operation Business: 1st' has seen the Hornets developing links with local companies and giving them a platform to network and make contacts in the local community.
Watford full back Jordan Parkes is a former student and has paid testament to the establishment. He is pictured with Watford's Raj Athwal and Joy Jennings from West Herts College.
He said: "It's great to see West Herts College partnering with Watford FC. Both the Football Club and the College are such big players in the local community that it makes sense for them to work together.
"I studied sport at West Herts College before joining the Academy so I've had first-hand experience of what it's like to study there.
"The course was great and meant I could train every day and play regular matches at the same time as getting a good education.
"I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to make a career out of playing football - if you show enough talent you never know who may spot you."
