IT'S not often that you receive a thank you in these modern times, but Watford FC's Community Sports & Education Trust have been showered with compliments after running some very successful Under 8's football sessions.
And Watford's CS&E Trust is pleased to confirm the new September dates of the Under 8's football sessions.
The courses are aimed at young footballers who want to have fun but learn new skills at the same time.
The programme is open to boys and girls between the ages of 4-8 years to take part in fun and educational football practices designed to help develop team working, co-ordination and movement skills within a safe and friendly environment.
Robert Johnson's son Luke took part in the Tots sessions run by Watford this summer and he said: "We had the most amazing time and Luke has talked about it non-stop ever since.
"Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel so welcome.
"Luke is now looking forward to going back to school so he can tell all his friends about it!"
Local mum Katy Dunn also praised the course.
"It was fantastic - my little boy Sam thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and the coach was absolutely brilliant.
"I can honestly say it was the best £15 I have ever spent!"
Another happy Mum, Sally Riley, added: "Harrison is only four years old and has never played football before or even participated in a group event before.
"He had a fabulous time, learnt some new skills and made some new friends. The coach Ryan was great with all of the children and engaged them all everyday.
"He made Harrison and myself feel welcome from the very first day. Harrison was told some great stories and learnt a lot of new tricks.
"Thank you Watford FC for providing the facilities for the younger children to participate in and also please pass on my thanks to Ryan for ensuring that Harrison had a fabulous time."
So what do the courses include?
- Coaching from FA qualified and CRB screened coaches
- Sessions devised specifically for target age groups
- Total supervision at all times
- Full hour of football activity
- Certificate at the end of the programme for every participant
The new sessions will start week commencing 14 September on the following days with the final session for this year on the week starting 7 December.

Tuesdays - Douay Martyrs School, Ickenham (Tots and Futsal)
Wednesdays - William Penn Leisure Centre, Rickmansworth (Futsal)
Thursdays - Lockers Park School, Hemel Hempstead (Tots and Futsal)
Saturdays - Parmiters School, Watford (Tots and Futsal)
Saturdays - Phillimore Recreation Ground - Radlett (Tots and 4-Step)
Cost:
£ 55 for 13-week programme
Age bands:
Tots - 4-5 years (Fun and developmental games)
Futsal - 6-8 years (Futsal uses smaller, heavier footballs to encourage ball control and is the game that Pele attributes his skills and ability to!)
4 Step Soccer - 6-8 years (a new course with four modules to complete including receiving, releasing, retaining and running with the ball.)
