COMMUNITY TRUST VACANCY
Watford FC's Community Sports and Education Trust are looking to recruit a highly motivated and committed individual to the role of Development Manager - Education.
The person will join a dynamic team and will be a valued member of a Club, which this year was voted as winners of the Community Club of the Year award at the Football League Awards.
The post will play a vital role in further developing the Trust's business plan as well as supporting the Club's vision.
Development Manager - Education (salary circa £22k plus benefits)
The Development Manager - Education is responsible for the organisation and running of the coach education programme, Centre of Football Excellence (in partnership with West Herts College), IMPACT Scheme (in partnership with Hertswood School in Borehamwood) as well as coach recruitment, training and development.
You will be required to manage these programmes as well as staff working on these projects to ensure that the services offered are of the highest quality. As part of your duties you will be expected to coach on the Centre of Football Excellence as well as teach specific units of the BTEC course within a classroom environment.
In order to respond and fulfil the demands of this role the candidate will hold the UEFA B Coaching License (Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Football) or above, hold a degree or equivalent, be able to tutor FA Level 1/2 football coaching awards (desirable but not essential) and have relevant experience in football or sports development.
In order to respond to and fulfil the demands of this role the individual will need to have excellent organisational, time management and communication skills. You will need experience of report writing and managing budgets, be able to work as part of a team whilst also being innovative and creative in your thinking and planning.
Applicants will also need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work evenings and weekends. You will require a full, valid UK driving license.
