OPPOSITION: LEICESTER CITY
TOTAL MILEAGE (from Vicarage Road): 85.9
BY ROAD:
Head NORTH on the M1. Turn off at junction 21 and follow the signs to the City Centre via the A5460. After three miles turn right onto Upperton Road, go over the bridge and take the first right down Western Boulevard and you will see the Walkers Stadium ground on the right hand side.
Allow yourself a little extra time to get to the ground as traffic does tend to get quite congested near the stadium.
TOTAL DRIVE TIME: 1 hour and 35 minutes
SatNav: LE2 7FL
BY TRAIN:
It would be better to start out at London St Pancras which has a direct train to Leicester City Centre with journey times at 1 hour and 10 minutes.
The Walkers stadium is a five minute drive, or 20 minute walk from the station.
PARKING:
There is plenty of street parking to be found (especially around the Upperton Road area and on streets running off the A5460 near the railway bridge). Watch out for traffic wardens as they are extremely vigilant around this area during match days.
It is possible to park at Leicester Rugby Club for £3.00 which is a ten minute walk from the stadium.
AWAY END:
3000 seats in the North East corner of the stadium
PROGRAMME COST: £3.00
RESTAURANTS:
The city centre is about a 20 minute walk and has a vast array of places to eat which should suit everyone's tastes.
PUBS:
As the ground is so close to the city centre there are plenty of pubs to choose from, but most that are nearby to the stadium are not recommended for away supporters.
